A thrilling horror film based upon the classic Universal film. some of the CGI is flawed, but when viewing the Werewolf transformation scenes, the effect is stunning and chilling. The casting is well done, particularly with Del Toro playing the sympathetic protagonist/tragic villain and Hopkins playing his father; Hopkins is eerily creepy in his role, never overplaying his part yet making the most of his screentime. If you love a moody, dark (and somewhat gory) horror film, then THE WOLFMAN (2010) is for you.
