After spending a decade behind bars, there's only one thing on Driver (Dwayne Johnson)'s mind: avenging his brother's murder. Soon, the best wheelman crime has ever seen is on a fast track to those who killed his brother and find out who set that event into motion.

Before you give up on this movie upon seeing that it stars Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, give Faster a chance. Because in all honesty, the movie is much better than the ads make it out to be. For me, the ads make the movie look like the standard bang-bang zoom-zoom brainless action movie with no memorable characters or events beyond the casting choices or the money put into the stuntman's paycheck. To my surprise, Faster is an updated film noir that takes an indepth look into one man's obsessive journey to complete a crucial moment in his life. The movie actually has many quiet moments where the characters absorb the situations they are in and how dark their lives truly are.

If you think Dwayne Johnson can't act, or that he can't carry a film, check out Faster; the film is actually quite enjoyable and Johnson does a commendable job as a man with inner demons that he can only silence with payment in blood.
