Family Guy Presents: It's A Trap!

If the creative staff admit in the text crawl the didn't want to make this movie, why should we, the audience, watch this movie? Should I applaud their honesty? I think that if this declaration were ironic, THAT would be funny. But no, this movie is a dud. For every one funny joke, such as a reference to Planes, Trains and Automobiles, there's 20 unfunny jokes, like Emperor Palpatine murdering two annoying kids in a public pool. Avoid "It's a Trap!".

It should have been made in 2000, 2001, but as Cheech Marin said in Ghostbusters II "Better late than never". The reason I say that the movie should have been made earlier is because maybe the movie would have been more successful had the movie been made just after Star Wars Episode I was released, but the film still works despite being made nearly a decade after. Sure, you'd have to be a geek to get the majority of the jokes, but that's the target audience for the movie: Star Wars Nerds. The film is a geniune love letter not only to Star Wars, but to comics, film, and even Star Trek (despite our main characters holding a deep hatred for the Federation).
If you're a fan of Star Wars, you owe it to yourself to check out FANBOYS.

Star Wars: Holiday Special

You think you're prepared for how atrocious this 'special' is: you'd be wrong. The major problem with this addition to the Star Wars mythos is that it's BORING: almost nothing happens for two hours. It's supposed to be a variety show, but the comedy falls flat and all the action sequences are stock footage from the movies. Even the infamous cartoon which introduces Boba Fett falls flat in the end. Why did anyone think that a plot about Chewbacca's family be good? Did anyone think there should be a 40 minute sequence of Wookie screeching without knowing what the hell they're all yelling about. So now you must be wondering, "It's got the cast. How do they do?" Well, you get to see Han, Luke, and Leia enter and exit on camera, just long enough to collect a paycheck. Don't see this movie, I implore you. No one needs to see this movie, to wipe your brain in alcohol is not enough.
